We provided advice to the Portman Estate through the development process of their joint partners (London & Regional/Starwood Capital). Following completion of this prime space by Marble Arch and just off Oxford Street we were instructed to source new and interesting tenants for a key gateway entrance into the wider Portman Estate.
In the summer of 2022, we were instructed to find a new coffee operator for this prime unit whose
tenant had closed during Covid. Even though central London was still recovering from the pandemic,
we entered a best bids situation.
We negotiated and secured Blank Street Coffee, who have now developed into a cult coffee and matcha brand across the UK.
After completing lettings to Blank Street and Chourangi on Old Quebec Street, Kenningham Retail were
instructed to secure a tenant for the last available restaurant unit. This was a complex space and
leasing process, which concluded with the signing of Zula, an exciting burger brand from Istanbul.
Backed by renowned restaurateur Alan Yau, Zula chose Marble Arch as the location for its first UK
flagship, meaning Old Quebec Street is now fully let.
